The race started this morning at 7AM and Chris killed his Swim with a 1h7min time. So far he's doing well in the bike.
I rented a scooter and I rode it to about mile 40 where I was able to cheer him on and give him my support. I know what it feels to have a familiar face cheering you on. That alone can give you such a boost. Chris looked fresh and had a big smile!
Maureen and I are waiting for him close to transition- we'll watch him go by and then we'll scoot over ahead and wait for him down the road for his final leg, 26.2 mile run.
I'll be posting pictures later on and hopefully a short video as well. It is so true about being a spectator, you just hurry up- then you wait!
Oh yeah! Btw- Chris has no idea I am a catcher, let alone, I want to catch one of my "Best Friends".

That's exciting!! Good luck to him!
If Chris was surprised to see you in FL, he's going to be shocked to see you waiting for him at the finish line. He's truly blessed to have a friend like you!
